“A HUGE Queci'yew'yew to Alx for our gorgeous project logo!! Our project team is so grateful to Alx for his beautiful design and attention to detail that captures the spirit of our unusual and trailblazing project, and are even more thankful for the very rapid turnaround on our last minute request for a design. Alx was a delight to work with, responsive and willing to incorporate elements we had requested but weren't sure how to explain in an artistic way. Alx went out of his way to learn about our project and design a logo that is both beautiful and conveys the hopefulness we have for our project outcomes. He was even willing to make modifications within a 30 day window of design for free! We highly recommend Alx to anyone who is looking for someone who can take ideas and turn them into art, especially for those who are looking for a Native artist who understands the world in a deeper and more connected way. Queci'yew'yew and THANK YOU for our amazing project logo Alx!!!”

“The mural titled Indian Spirit at Nicht-Yow-Way Senior center painted by Alx depicts a Native adorned with feathers, an eagle, and a spear with abstract shapes and colors which remind me of our hills, or in my mind portrays the Blue Mountains. This work is based and replicated done by Alx’s father, Art McConville which was created back in Art’s earlier years in the 1970’s. The recreation and the added shapes and colors surrounding the main feature “Indian Spirit” showcases and stands out in the environment which many of the community and most of all elders admire. Art was alive at the time to experience such astounding work; however, he has moved onto a different and better journey… may his soul rest in peace. I have had the privilege to see many of Alx’s work over the years and will add exhibits a great talent. This is the reason I chose this artist, and thankfully Alx agreed with no hesitation. Added his father Art McConville holds the same level of excellence in such great work with not only painting and drawing but also bead work. The talent has been passed down and carried over to Alx in a good way, this family’s legacy will carry on and the work will be seen at many places, homes, and all around the country. Overall, this style of artwork holds beautiful, detailed composition, one can clearly see the expression and representation, the love put into this subject “Indian Spirit”. The elders and the community are very grateful for such an artist as Alx. On top of it all, the work was done for a great cause for the elders and Nicht-Yow-Way Senior Center at no cost. This mural “Indian Spirit” will be show cased for many years.”
